Sadayatana 083: On The Lips - John Tocher
`Excuse me,` Rene said in a strangled voice. `I'm not asking you about the quality of my flesh. Rather, I'd like to know how you find it since the last time we met.` `You astonish me anew, my little treasure. You are simply stupendous. Why, I'll tell you that your flesh is better now than ever before. One can now say that it's at its peak.` And without another word, she bit him on the lips. - Virgilio Pinera, Rene's Flesh (1985) startartisttitle00:00INS61Rewinding00:48Elizabeth Veldon/The Implic...

Sadayatana 071: The Dark - John Tocher
The show starts with another mashup of Mystified's music. An old 78 that was more groovy noise than anything else. The show featured a live set from Joel Sutton in his guise as Crystal Dreams, thank you Joel for a dark ambient set. New Zreen Toyz, The Implicit Order and the music of Vladimir Hirsch were both featured to good effect. A fun show that closed with another 78 personally recorded for Sadayatana by CP McDill...

Sadayatana 052: Día de los Muertos - John Tocher
The show starts with the title track from Kirill Platonkin's release "Silence is Important". Kirill said: "...the latest one (Silence Is Important) includes some experiments with throat singing...". Experiment? Success! Had thought to do like a Halloween show with clinking and clanking and like you know. But it kind of rubbed against my ideas about dark ambient. I feel like it's a misunderstood genre in that people expect it to be creepy and dark, etc...

Sadayatana 046: Another Room - John Tocher
One of the more experimental shows --with the occasional beat. Sort of an audio investigation of the ambient side of "witch house". According to Wikipedia Witch House "...features a fusion of techniques rooted in Swishahouse hip-hop -- sluggish tempo with skipping, stop-timed beats -- coupled with elements from genres such as noise, drone, and shoegaze." A semi disastrous show this one. I was playing for two hours without actually being connected to the stream...
